Las Palmas Cruise Port Introduces Three New State-of-the-Art Boarding Bridges

Las Palmas Cruise Port has installed three new state-of-the-art passenger boarding bridges designed and manufactured by the Spanish company Milán Port Equipment. This upgrade strengthens the terminal’s operational capacity and modernization.

Las Palmas Cruise Port Joins Global Mission to Restore Ocean and Water

The project for the construction of the new cruise terminal at the Port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria recently participated in the “Blue Ports and Destinations” Award, launched by BlueMissionMed in collaboration with MedCruise and supported by the European Commission. The initiative aligns with the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters,” which aims to protect and restore ocean health by 2030 through research, innovation, citizen engagement and blue investments.

Global Ports Canary Islands Recognized for Excellence in Sustainability and Operations

Global Ports Canary Islands S.L., a joint venture between Global Ports Holding and its partner Sepcan, has been awarded in the category of Outstanding Business Initiative. The recognition was granted at the XXVI Edition of the Las Palmas Ports Awards 2023 for its work in the ports of the province of Las Palmas.

Launch of Cruise Terminal Construction Projects in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura

On Monday, November 6th, construction began simultaneously on cruise terminals in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, led by Global Ports Canary Islands with an investment of over €40 million. The project will enhance the guest experience through customer-oriented services while supporting the sustainable development of the cruise industry and generating a positive impact on the local economy.

Norwegian Star✨, sailing since 2001, and Norwegian Dawn 🌅, launched in 2002.

Celebramos una jornada muy especial en Las Palmas Cruise Port con la primera escala del nuevo buque insignia de TUI Cruises.

Con 333 metros de eslora, capacidad para casi 4.000 pasajeros y propulsión a gas natural licuado (LNG), el Mein Schiff Relax marca una nueva generación de cruceros más sostenibles, modernos y silenciosos. 🌊⚡

La jornada coincidió con la primera Feria Puerto Canteras & Cruises, que llenó Santa Catalina de música, actividades y ambiente, dando la bienvenida a los cruceristas al estilo canario. 🎶☀️

También destacó el perfecto funcionamiento de las nuevas pasarelas, que ofrecieron un embarque fluido y seguro, reflejando la gran capacidad operativa de nuestra terminal.

El Mein Schiff Relax nos acompañará durante la temporada de invierno, trayendo miles de viajeros que disfrutarán del encanto y el clima único de Gran Canaria.

A very special day at Las Palmas Cruise Port as we celebrated the first call of TUI Cruises’ new flagship.

At 333 meters long, with space for nearly 4,000 passengers and powered by LNG, the Mein Schiff Relax represents a new generation of more sustainable, modern, and quiet cruise ships. 🌊⚡

The day also coincided with the first Puerto Canteras & Cruises Fair, which filled Santa Catalina with music and local activities, welcoming cruise visitors in true Canarian style. 🎶☀️

We also showcased the new gangways, which operated with total fluidity, demonstrating the excellent efficiency of our terminal.

The Mein Schiff Relax will visit us throughout the winter season, bringing thousands of travelers to enjoy Gran Canaria’s beauty and mild climate.
